Every year, the Madeira Promotion Bureau (AP Madeira) a set of advertising campaigns to promote Madeira's best places, venues, activities, events, etc. For the 2019/2020 yearly events edition they have reach us, to work together with Henrique Seruca Photography, in order to design and create a promotional campaign that would pop up and have an impact.
In collaboration with Henrique, in order to promote this set of seven events, we have designed and edited a campaign gathering a set of ‘characters’ photographed to catch seven different expressions that would represent each event: EXCITEMENT, JOY, NOSTALGIA, AMUSEMENT, INTEREST, SATISFACTION, WONDERMENT.
Our intention was to communicate this set of emotions (representative of each event), in the most genuine, assertive and simple way. That is why we also decided to play with transparency in the choice of typography and have created a set of bespoke words and typographic elements, designed and edited in order to complement the posters visual info. But also to make sure photography would stand out and be the main communication element.
